Branko Miljkovic - Highways

May wind wrap the unworthy I up,
Oh you complaint of black birds and sad praises,
Heavy shadows of some world fell
What's that which hides at the bottom of a song?

My beautiful day with the soul of an eulogy,
I look for the beginning, the shine and the hours which stopped
When two sad birds gave you the eternity
Before the doors behind which space rots.

That's where the lost memory feeds the desert.
And by the fire which the days don't feed on
The buried wailing and the unfound treasure lay.

Oh my love, dead but alive,
Oh everything that passes becomes an eternity
And I'm not here, but my love is.
